Sony Ericsson Xperia X2's Launch Confirmed for November

Sony Ericsson's second Xperia device that will run under Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system seems to be set for a launch on the market in November this year. The handset is reportedly heading for France during that month, and is expected to reach the country at a price tag of €600 without a contract.

This is not the first time when we learn that the device should come in the fourth quarter of the ongoing year, nor when the €600 price pops up, yet it seems that both the cost and the launch window have been confirmed by a Sony Ericsson official this time. According to mobinaute, this is what the mobile phone maker has said when asked when the device will come to the market.

As reported earlier, in case the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 will hit the market priced at €600, it will prove cheaper than originally expected. This comes as good news for enthusiasts, though one should agree that, when compared with similar, high-end devices on the market, the phone proves to be a little expensive.

On the other hand, it might be the latest handset from Sony Ericsson that reaches the market with Microsoft's mobile operating system on board, as previous rumors pointed out that the company planned on shifting its focus towards Symbian and Android. Whether true or not, time will tell, and, until something official in this matter is said, we should look for the Xperia X2 on the shelves in France starting with November.

The handset, as many of you might already know, will be powered by Windows Mobile 6.5, and should deliver a better user experience than its predecessor, Xperia X1, was able to. On the other hand, Sony Ericsson fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy some of the already popular features of the first Xperia device, including the sliding QWERTY keyboard and the Xperia Panels.
